I FINISHED MEDICAL SCHOOL IN ARARAQUARA, A POST-GRADUATION IN SÃO PAULO, AND SPENT SOME TIME AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN IN THE USA.

Skin, Hair, and Nail Diseases
There are more than more than 3,000 diseases studied in dermatology, such as acne, melasma, mycosis, leprosy, vitiligo, and psoriasis. In addition to the skin, pathologies that affect the hair and nails are also treated by dermatologists.
Dermatological Surgery
This covers a wide range of treatments, such as removal of skin tumors, epidermal cysts, correction of ingrown nails, removal of tissues for analysis, and cauterizations. It is also useful for aesthetic purposes such as blepharoplasty.
Aesthetic Procedures
There is a large arsenal of treatments that can provide a younger and healthier look. Techniques to reduce wrinkles, fillers, biostimulators, microfocused ultrasound (Ultraformer 3), and lasers can be used for improved results.

Blepharoplasty
This is a laser procedure performed in the clinic with local anesthesia, to remove excess skin and fat pockets that accumulate on the eyelids, providing a younger and restful appearance.
Capillary Mesotherapy
Also known as mesotherapy, it consists of the injection of medications and vitamins directly in the scalp, with the aim of controlling hair loss and stimulating hair growth.
Acne Scar
These scars are quite inconvenient, but with fractional CO2 laser, it is possible to relieve the scars and leave a more uniform skin texture that improves with each session. Fillers can also be used for a better result.
Skin Cancer
Corresponds to 33% of all diagnoses of this disease in Brazil, according to INCA. The most common are basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Rarer and more lethal than carcinomas, melanoma is the most aggressive type of skin cancer.
Dermoscopy
is a non-invasive examination performed in the clinic that consists of amplifying the skin to evaluate spots and lesions, both benign and suspected to be malignant. This test is indispensable for the early diagnosis of skin cancer.

Laser Blepharoplasty
This is an association of two procedures: blepharoplasty surgery and fractional CO2 laser therapy in the eyelids to improve sagging and skin texture. Laser blepharoplasty is indicated to correct excess skin, fat, and sagging eyelids. The surgical technique is similar to conventional blepharoplasty, but the laser procedure is used to excise the skin during the procedure and seal blood vessels.
With the use of a laser, healing after blepharoplasty is usually faster and more tranquil, and there is less bleeding and consequently less hematoma and swelling.
The stitches are removed around 10 days and the scar is well hidden in the epicanthus. The final healing process is around three months. During this period, stay away from the sun, so as not to blemish the skin and regions of surgery.
Remember that the recovery of each patient is unique, because each skin area reacts individually. Take into account care of the face in the postoperative period and life habits.
Anti-Aging
Reduce expression wrinkles
This is one of the most common aesthetic procedures performed worldwide, for people looking to reduce expression wrinkles.
The application is made on the forehead, between the eyebrows and crow's feet, causing muscle relaxation in the treated area, smoothing out wrinkles and unwanted marks and expression. The duration varies from 4 to 6 months depending on each person's condition and lifestyle.
Fillers
These products confer volume for a given region, such as lip augmentation, attenuation of nasolabial fold (smile lines), definition of the contour of the jaw, chin, and rhinomodelling. The duration is variable because it depends on the product used, with hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite being the most common.
Biostimulators
Biostimulators are substances that when injected into the subcutaneous stimulate collagen production for an average of 18 months. This procedure aims to return the firmness of the skin, to confer a young and natural look without exaggeration. It can also be used to lift the butt or improve the appearance of cellulite on the thighs.
Laser and Technologies
This includes several devices for different purposes, and can be used to lighten spots, melasma, and solar melanoses (spots on the back of the hand) and to treat telangiectasias. In particular, a CO2 laser promotes a deep renewal of the skin by improving wrinkles, sagging, and acne scars.
Dermatological Surgery
Conventional Surgery
This is performed in the clinic with local anesthesia, no hospitalization is required. It is useful for the removal of malignant lesions (cancer) or benign lesions, such as warts and spots and the correction of the ingrown nails. Material for pathological study (biopsy) can also be removed to aid in the diagnosis.
Laser Surgery
Using the established techniques of conventional surgery, instead of the scalpel, we use a CO2 laser that cuts and cauterizes the tissues with great precision and minimal bleeding, allowing more discrete scars, less hematoma (bruises), and faster recovery. Laser surgery also plays an important role in the treatment of keloids and some types of skin cancer.
Surgery for Aesthetic Purposes
Surgical procedures can also be used for aesthetic purposes, such as the reconstruction of torn earlobes or laser blepharoplasty, which consists of removing fat bags and excess skin from the eyelid. This provides a younger and more restful appearance. Because it is performed with a laser, it produces less bruising and discreet scaring.
Electrosurgery / Cryosurgery
These are surgical modalities that use an electric scalpel and a liquid nitrogen jet to remove benign lesions, such as small fibroids, warts, pre-malignant lesions and some types of spots.
